Mount Prospect to Offer Citizen Emergency Preparedness Training Class

Are you interested in learning more about emergency preparedness? Sign up for Mount Prospect's FREE Citizen Emergency Preparedness Training! This 20-hour course educates residents about disaster preparedness for hazards that could impact our area, and trains them in basic disaster response skills. The classes are a mixture of classroom and hands-on training, and are designed to give you knowledge before and during a disaster. Some class topics include fire safety and utilities, first aid, light search and rescue, storms and weather, disaster planning and psychology.

This seven-week training course begins Wednesday October 2, and continues each Wednesday evening until November 13, from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. Classes are held at Mount Prospect Fire Station 14, located at 2000 Kensington Road, Mount Prospect.
