Chicago Blackhawks to open training camp Sept. 13

The Blackhawks said Thursday that their training camp will open with a 10 a.m. practice Sept. 13 at Fifth Third Arena, 1801 W. Jackson Blvd.

The Hawks will host their annual Training Camp Festival Sept. 15 at the United Center. A scrimmage begins at 11 a.m. Tickets for the game are $5 and can be purchased at Blackhawks.com.

The Hawks open the preseason Sept. 16 at Washington. They are at Detroit Sept. 17 and host Detroit at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18.

Coach Jeremy Colliton's squad, which finished 36-34-12 last season, will begin the regular season Oct. 4 against the Philadelphia Flyers in Prague. The Hawks begin a seven-game homestand Oct. 10 against San Jose.

A full training camp roster will be released at a later date.
