Chase the Moon run/walk

Chase the Moon 5K run/walk for ages 10 and up will be at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16, on the cart paths at Steeplechase Golf Club, 200 N. LaVista Drive, Mundelein. The field is limited to 150, and there is no race day registration. Entry includes post-race chili, beer and refreshments. Cost before Sept. 8 is $40 and $45 after. Runners are encouraged to wear reflectors and glow items for dramatic effect. Prerace packet pickup is available Sept. 13-15 at Mundelein Community Center, 1401 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. Proceeds will benefit the Mundelein Parks Foundation, providing recreational scholarships for disadvantaged children. Visit mundeleinparks.org.
