Mount Prospect to host French market Sept. 8

The Mount Prospect's Sister City Commission will host the Marché Français, a farmers market with a French twist, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.

The event will be held on Prospect Avenue east of Emerson Street in downtown Mount Prospect. The location is just south of the Mount Prospect Farmers Market held concurrently in the east commuter lot.

French-inspired vendors will offer linens, jewelry, photography, children's books, one-of-a-kind finds and more. The Mount Prospect Public Library will host a special story time at 10 a.m.

Marché Français is sponsored by the Mount Prospect Sister Cities Commission as a celebration of the village's relationship with sister city Sèvres, France, and to promote French culture in the community. More information about the event is available at mountprospectsistercities.com.
