Girls volleyball: West Aurora, Crystal Lake S. drop openers

Naperville Central d. West Aurora 25-20, 25-17: West Aurora (0-1) dropped their season opener against a very strong Naperville Central team. Kendra Battle led the Blackhawks with 7 kills and 3 blocks. Choley Myers added 4 kills and Jenna Millen finished with 14 assists.

Prairie Ridge d. Crystal Lake South 25-22, 25-19: Jenna Rhoads led the Gators (0-1) with 9 assists and 5 digs as Crystal Lake South fell in 2 games in the first match of the season. Jessie Proszenyak and Mia Regillio each finished with 3 kills for the Gators offense.
