Lavelle Law to Host Free Monthly Seminars With New Breakfast Briefs Series

Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law plans to host a new, free monthly seminar entitled Breakfast Briefs, which will cover a variety of legal topics that effect businesses and individuals. These seminars will typically be held from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the month in the firm's Schaumburg office.

"Our goal is to bring the community together and provide a free informative discussion in an informal setting," said Managing Partner Ted McGinn. "The topics will rotate each month as our attorneys volunteer to share their knowledge in various areas of law."

The first Breakfast Briefs topic is Exit Planning for Business Owners. The seminar, led by Lavelle Law attorneys Steven Migala and David O'Leary, will cover various ownership and exit strategies, the interaction of these strategies with the owners' personal goals and estate plan, and the issues that need to be considered when implementing an effective exit strategy. There will also be a special discussion on the use of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) as a succession planning strategy.

The discussion will be most relevant for business owners who are contemplating selling or otherwise transferring ownership of their business within the next five years.

The upcoming Exit Planning for Business Owners seminar will take place at 8:00 a.m. on September 11th. Coffee and breakfast will be included in the event. Registration is required as seating is limited.
