Consumers Credit Union Introduces New Technology to Improve Member Experience

Libertyville, IL, August 27, 2019: Earlier this month, Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $1.3 Billion, Waukegan, IL) introduced their new, state-of-the-art automated teller machines (ATMs) in the historic credit union's Mundelein and Round Lake Beach offices. The ATMs are designed to improve the Member experience by integrating the best of human interaction with the latest advances in automated teller technology. Mundelein and Round Lake Beach join Kildeer as the first CCU Service Centers to deploy the new ATMs with the video teller option.

While financial institutions have utilized self-service ATM technology for decades, the new version includes several features that are clearly a "cut above." First and foremost, they provide the option for video teller assistance during the Service Centers regular hours of operation, an enhancement that provides an extra layer of support for the new generation of Members who prefer self-service but still may need assistance from time-to-time. The new machines also include additional features that weren't available in earlier versions. The improved functionality, live assistance and faster service combine to create an extremely empowering Member experience.

"Our Members like options and the enhanced ATM technology addresses that preference," said Adriana Bravo, CCU's Service Center Sales & Operations Manager. "We piloted the new machines when we opened our Kildeer location just about a year ago and Member reaction has been extremely positive. This new generation of ATMs is just the most recent example of how we strive to meet the wants and needs of our Members."

"With that in mind, we'll continue to staff all Service Centers with in-person Tellers, who we call Member Experience Representatives. The new technology simply adds another layer of convenience, speed and efficiency for those Members who prefer our self-service channels."
