Learn about singing insects at Volo Bog program

Singing Insects of the Chicago Wilderness with ecologist Carl Strang will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside.

Participants will learn about the crickets, katydids and other insects more often heard than seen. The event starts with a power point presentation followed by a walk in search of these insects.
