Pitching matchups: The White Sox's Dylan Cease (2-4) vs. Zack Greinke (1-0) Monday at 7:10 p.m.; Ivan Nova (7-9) vs. Gerrit Cole (14-5) Tuesday at 7:10 p.m.; Ross Detwiler (1-3) vs. Wade Miley (11-4) Wednesday at 1:10 p.m.

At a glance: Already 3-10 at home in the second half of the season, the Sox now get a visit from the Astros, who are tied with the Yankees for the best record (77-41) in the American League. At +184, Houston has the best run differential in the league. Acquired in a monster trade from the Diamondbacks on July 31, Greinke gave up 5 runs in 6 innings but still got the win in the Astros' 11-6 decision over the Rockies last Thursday. Houston's offense ranks fourth in the majors in runs scored. The Astros will be a good test for Cease, who beat the Tigers at Detroit last Tuesday, allowing 2 runs in 5 innings. The White Sox and Astros split a four-game series at Houston in May.
