St. Charles High School Class of '54 celebrates 65th reunion

The St. Charles High School Class of 1954 recently gathered to celebrate the 65th anniversary of their graduation. The celebration was held at Hughes Creek Golf Club in Elburn.

The class graduated with 87 students, which gave them the opportunity to get to know pretty much everyone during their four years together.

The reunions, which have been held every five years, with a couple of exceptions, have kept the group in touch in the decades since graduation.

This year's reunion featured classmates traveling from California, Florida, Maryland, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Indiana, joining those still living in Illinois.

Everyone in attendance expressed their gratitude for the chance to celebrate another reunion and voted to have the next reunion party in two years instead of the previous five-year time frame.

Those in attendance included: Janice Van Leirsburg Blevins, Lois Tredup Burgess, Doris Peterson Carlson, Joan Hahn Carlson, Joyce Arbizzani Creiger, Leo Dhont, Glenda Richards Fankhauser, Bev Philips Forni, the Rev. Dru Green, Ron Hillquist, Pat Klapprich Hollis, Russ Kluessendorf, Joy Fischer Larson, Marcia Davis Moser, Fred Norris, Ron Prevost, Jim Richter, Mary Nelson Rosenfelder, Joan Larsen Sunleaf, Yvonne Syring Thomas, Bob Van Overmeiren, Shirley Teafoe Weber, and Jack Young.
