Dundee Twp. Park District's Concerts in the Park wrap up Aug. 9

The Dundee Township Park District's Free Concerts in the Park will close out the summer with Smokin' Gunz on Friday, Aug. 9, at Lions Park, off Penny Avenue in East Dundee.

The concerts will be held on Fridays throughout the summer from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Food and drinks will be sold by the Dundee Township Lions Club.

The concerts in the park series are co-sponsored by the Village of West Dundee, Village of East Dundee, and the Village of Carpentersville.

The Dundee Township Park District serves over 60,000 residents in the communities of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, and portions of Algonquin, Gilberts, Elgin, Barrington Hills and Hoffman Estates. Facilities and services offered include two fitness centers located at the Rakow Center and Randall Oaks Recreation Center, two golf courses which include Bonnie Dundee and Randall Oaks golf courses, an Adult Activities Center, two outdoor swimming pools which include Dolphin Cove Family Aquatic Center and Sleepy Hollow Pool, an indoor pool at the Rakow Center, Randall Oaks Zoo, and 40 park sites and facilities.
