Oak Brook-based, female-owned marketing agency named as a finalist for Agency of the Year

The healthcare marketing industry's premiere annual awards program, the MM&M Awards, celebrates creativity and effectiveness in the industry and has named Core-Rx Communications as a finalist for Small Healthcare Agency of the Year.

Core-Rx Communications is a female-owned and led company founded in 2010 by Shana Robinson of Hinsdale, Ill.

Today, Core-Rx Communications is a thriving full-service healthcare marketing agency that specializes in healthcare advertising, strategy, education, and events. Robinson has grown the agency from a 2-person shop out of a spare bedroom to more than 10 full-time employees and a sleek office in Oak Brook.

Robinson says, "As a female-led company, we work hard to maintain a culture of respect and empowerment. What makes our agency so special is the passion, creativity, and commitment that each person brings to the table."

Three other industry veterans round out Robinson's leadership team and include Tamera Snyder, Margaret Berg, PhD., and Molly Lane.

She goes on to note, "When I founded this company, I was driven by a desire to improve transparency and collaboration in agency-client relationships. By prioritizing trust and partnership, many of the clients obtained in our first few years of operation remain loyal partners 9 years later."

It was a good year for the Core-Rx Communications as they were hard at work launching a new U.S. dermatology cosmeceutical product. Other notable work included a complete rebrand of a product to treat hemophilia and pro bono work for Hinsdale-based Wellness House. The year also brought patient advocacy work for a global player in CAR T-cell therapy.

The award submission included a video, questionnaire, case studies, client testimonials and sample client work. At judging, which took place on June 24, 2019 all entries were reviewed, discussed and scored by MM&M's panel of elite judges.

The agency will head to New York City on Oct. 10, 2019 where the award ceremony will take place and the winners of each category will be announced.
