Bear Family McDonald's helping kids head back to school

David Bear and the Bear Family Restaurants are doing their part to make sure students are prepared for the upcoming school year.

With the close of summer drawing near and a new school year ahead, more than 475 students lined up in four different McDonald's restaurants that are Owned and Operated by David Bear. This was to receive backpacks and school supplies at local McDonald's School Supply Backpack Giveaway events.

In addition to supplies, students also received Free Happy Meal Coupons.

For David Bear, a second-generation McDonald's franchise owner-operator of the Bear Family McDonald's, having more than 50 years of giving history in the local communities, this was his second year in a row hosting the back-to-school giveaway and adding Ten more locations from last year's events.

"We are proud of the role we've played in our local communities over the years, and we are happy to see the communities come together as families prepare to go back to school," Bear said.

The local families were excited to have the support and participation of the Bear Family and their local McDonald's. The Bear family pledged to continue their rich tradition of community giving.
