Party in the Park Features Free Family Activities, Live Music and Cultural Entertainment

Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The community is invited to Fabbrini Park (1704 Glen Lake Road) on Saturday, August 3 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. for the annual Party in the Park, hosted by the Hoffman Estates Park District (HEParks). The event will feature many popular attractions, including live music, games, food, and activities.

Throughout the afternoon, party-goers will enjoy the return of multi-cultural performing groups and family-friendly entertainment. Ben Tatar & the Tatar Tots are headlining the evening entertainment beginning at 6:00 p.m.

"Party in the Park is like a giant block party, but we do all the work," said HE Parks Executive Director Craig Talsma. "It is a great way for our families to spend a summer evening outdoors, just having fun."

Admission is free and all of the activities this year including children's games, activities, petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables and a 24-foot climbing wall are free of charge.

At 2:00 p.m. HEParks is having a ribbon-cutting for the new fitness court installation at Fabbrini Park. This free to use outdoor bodyweight circuit training gym supports all-level workouts. Following the ribbon-cutting, the community is invited to participate in free instructor-led demos on the court beginning at 3:30 p.m. Athletic wear is encouraged.

Also returning this year is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

Throughout the day, attendees can quench their appetite and thirst from our on-site vendors. Garibaldi's Italian Eatery, Kona Ice and Chuy's Tex Mex will be selling a variety of multi-cultural snacks and dinner food. Cash only.

"We've packed a lot of excitement into the day," said Party in the Park event planner Jody Dodson. "I'm sure no one will mind going home exhausted."
