Schaumburg Park District to host National Night Out Aug. 6

The Schaumburg Park District's National Night Out event will occur from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Meineke Recreation Center, 220 E. Weathersfield Way in Schaumburg.

During the first hour, attendees will be able to engage with Schaumburg Police Department officers, its bike and motor patrol, state representatives and the fire department. Enjoy games, contests and a DJ.

The second hour will feature an open swim at Meineke Pool.

Barbecued concessions and beverages will be available for purchase.

Millions across the United States take part in National Night Out. The annual event promotes community-building, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and strengthen neighborhood spirit.
