Court ruling on immigration must be obeyed
Shame on Chicago Mayor Lightfoot, who as a former federal prosecutor and officer of the court, decided that a lawful order of the court should be disobeyed regarding illegal immigrants.
The immigrants had their day before an immigration judge and failed to carry the day and were ordered deported. ICE has a legal responsibility to enforce the orders of the court. But Mayor Lightfoot has determined that she is above the order of the court and inhibited a legal order to be carried out.
Mayor Lightfoot's actions feed lawlessness and eventually anarchy. Why should anyone obey any law if it's up to individuals to decide? With that kind of leadership, our freedoms are in jeopardy, let alone our country.
