Assaults on our standards

Thank you so much for the Daily Herald's thoughtful editorial "The president of polarization owes us better" on July 17. Your points were well taken and you were thorough in your explanations. It is one thing for adults to be stressed on a daily basis over the events occurring with this administration but it is devastating for our children to have this behavior as their role model!

As you brought out, this behavior gives license to others to spread hatred in words and deeds.

It is a frightening world we live in right now with daily assaults to our standards and dignity and we must do everything in our power to change it for the better.
