Mount Prospect collecting school supplies for children in need

From now through Aug. 2, the Mount Prospect Human Services Department will be collecting school supplies for disadvantaged families with school aged children living in the village.

Collection bins are located at village hall, 50 S. Emerson St.; the Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson St.; the Community Connections Center, 1711 W. Algonquin Road; and the Police/Fire Station, 112 E. Northwest Highway.

Monetary donations also will be accepted and allocated to the purchase of needed supplies. Checks should be made payable to Mount Prospect Emergency Food Pantry (in the check memo, please write "School Supplies.") Checks can be mailed to or dropped off at Village of Mount Prospect, Human Services Department, 50 S. Emerson St., Mount Prospect, IL 60056.
