Grand Avenue resurfacing project starting this week in Fox Lake

Work on the Grand Avenue resurfacing project in Fox Lake is beginning this week but is not expected to affect this weekend's Blood Mary Fest, according to the village.

The project includes curb installation, spot curb and sidewalk repairs, storm sewer replacement and the resurfacing of Grand Avenue from Nippersink Boulevard to Rushmore Road.

This week the contractor will be working on saw-cutting and removing portions of curb and sidewalk starting near Rushmore Road.
