Hawks agree to 2-year deals with Sikura, John Quenneville
The Blackhawks agreed to terms with forwards Dylan Sikura and John Quenneville on two-year contract extensions Friday.
The extensions are identical in that both players are on two-way deals in Year 1 and one-way deals in Year 2. The first year they would make $700,000 in the NHL and $250,000 in the AHL; the second year they will both make $800,000.
Sikura had 8 assists in 33 games with the Hawks last season.
Quenneville, acquired from Philadelphia June 22 in exchange for John Hayden, had 1 goal in 19 games for the Flyers and had 18 goals and 21 assists for the AHL's Binghamton Devils.
RFA news
According to capfriendly.com, the Hawks did not tender contract offers to restricted free agents David Kampf, Anthony Louis, Luke Johnson, Spencer Watson or defenseman Blake Hillman. The Hawks are, however, still talking to Kampf.
Developmental camp
The Hawks will host their annual developmental camp July 15 to 19 at Fifth Third Arena (formerly MB Ice Arena). On-ice sessions will run approximately 1 to 5 p.m.
A camp roster will be released at a later date. In the past, most of that year's draft class is included, which means fans should be able to get their first look at Kirby Dach, who was selected third overall.
