Island Lake officials to talk budget Tuesday

Island Lake trustees will meet once again Tuesday, June 18, to discuss the overdue budget for the 2020 fiscal year, which began May 1. The finance committee meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at village hall, 3720 N. Greenleaf Ave. No information about the proposed budget has been released to the media. When asked Friday, village Treasurer Ed McGinty said he didn't know when a spending plan would be ready for a vote.
