Chicago man charged with fighting cops in Lisle traffic stop

A Chicago man has been charged with aggravated battery after Lisle police said he fought with officers following a traffic stop Tuesday night.

Anthony L. Jackson, 39, of the 800 Block of North Christiana Avenue, also been charged with aggravated driving with a revoked license.

Lisle police responded to a 911 call of an erratic driver about 10:24 p.m. Tuesday. Police stopped the vehicle at Maple Avenue and Naperville Road.

Jackson was then arrested on the aggravated driving charge, police said. While officers were preparing to take him to DuPage County jail, he "physically fought with officers," according to a news release Wednesday.

Deputy Police Chief John Gaw said in an email that there were no injuries to officers or Jackson during the scuffle. Jackson "pushed and shoved officers," Gaw said.
