Naperville man facing child porn charges

A Naperville man remains in DuPage County jail on $250,000 bail facing multiple child pornography and drug charges.

Juan Jose Chavez, 36, of the 700 block of Inland Circle, is charged with eight felony counts of child pornography for possessing pornographic videos depicting sexual acts involving minors and one count of unlawful possession of less than 15 grams of cocaine.

Naperville police Cmdr. Mike Son said Thursday that police received a tip in November that ultimately led to Chavez's arrest last Friday.

According to court records, Chavez also served 90 days in DuPage County jail in 2014 after pleading guilty to driving on a suspended license after his third DUI conviction.
