Summer concert series returns to arboretum

The Morton Arboretum is bringing back its weekly summer concert series this June featuring top local bands, dancing, lawn games and the chance to unwind with small plates and drinks - all against the backdrop of the arboretum's lush green clearing and towering trees.

Arbor Evenings will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday from June 5 through Aug. 28 and is open to all ages at the outdoor museum at 4100 Route 53 in Lisle.

In addition to enjoying live music and activities, ticket holders will receive one complimentary beverage, including beer, wine or soda. Guests may bring their own food or they can purchase small plates prepared by the arboretum's Gingko Catering chefs.

In an effort to reduce plastic waste, the arboretum will offer guests the opportunity to purchase reusable wineglasses for $5, which also entitles them to a $1 discount off wine purchases throughout the 2019 season.
