Euclid Elementary has a Luau at the Mount Prospect McDonald's

Mount Prospect | Euclid Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support local education and school activities. Forty-five teachers from Euclid volunteered behind the counter on Thursday, May 16, at the Mount Prospect McDonald's located on Rand Road, where they served students and their families at their 4th McTeacher's Night hosted by the Bear Family McDonald's in Mount Prospect.

It was Island Day at Euclid as they are nearing the end of the school year and the kids came to McTeacher's Night adorned in their Island attire.

Teachers Kroeschell, Morgensen, Palicki, and Hacker tended the apple pie box during the night. Teachers Butts, Morgensen, Parker, Burke, Matteson, Iuhos, and Hanrahan did an outstanding job selling pies to customers. Parker and Burke had the highest sales of pies during the night. The pie duo gave every sale a cheer and raised the energy at the event.

The pies were donated to the school, for sale at the event, by David Bear Owner-Operator of the Mount Prospect McDonald's. The proceeds from the sale of 240 pies went directly to benefit the students. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were donated directly to Euclid, which plans to use the money for items needed for the teachers and classrooms to benefit the children.

A special thank you goes to Euclid parent Susie Makula who organizes this amazing event every year. Thank you also to Superintendent of schools Dr. Wagner, Principal Daly, and Assistant Principal Hogan for supporting the Euclid staff and taking time to talk to all the families and get some great pictures.

David Bear and the Bear Family Restaurants were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community. The Euclid McTeacher's Night was courtesy of the Bear Family Restaurants and McDonald's Owner-Operator, David Bear. Like us on Facebook and visit our Bear Website.
