Schaumburg Prairie Arts Festival set for May 25-26

Original works from more than 120 artists will be on display next weekend at the 32nd annual Prairie Arts Festival Fine Art and Fine Craft Exhibition and Sale, outdoors on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center in Schaumburg.

The juried show set from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26, features painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, potters and artists in several other media.

Visitors can view and purchase art, enjoy entertainment on three stages, and purchase tasty bites at the food truck court. Children's activities, provided by the Schaumburg Park Distinct, will be available for younger art enthusiasts. Parking and admission are free.

The food truck court will be located just off the plaza between the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center, 101 Schaumburg Court, and the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts.

Visitors also can stop in the Herb Aigner Gallery, located inside the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts, to view the Plein air exhibition, which highlights original paintings and drawings depicting locations in town. Submitted works were completed between April 26 and May 10, within the Schaumburg village limits.
