Two crises at our southern border
Is there truly a "crisis" at our southern border?
Personally, I believe there are two. First is our porous border, weak immigration laws and enforcement thereof. Second is the "humanitarian" crisis, which is a direct result of Crisis No. 1. What I don't understand is the resistance by some politicians to address Crisis No. 1 and rather concentrate on Crisis No. 2. Estimates suggest that up to 3,000 "asylum-seekers" a day are illegally crossing our border. This will continue until Crisis No. 1 is addressed. Bottom line: Expend energy and resources on Crisis No. 1 and Crisis No. 2 goes away on its own.
