Robert Frost Elementary School Has Twice As Much Fun At McTeacher's Night

Mount Prospect| Robert Frost Elementary School students gave teachers and administrators an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the Frost Elementary Parent Teacher Organization.

Principal Jeff Brusso, teachers, and support staff from Frost Elementary School volunteered behind the counter on Wednesday, May 8, at the Mount Prospect McDonald's located on Rand Road, where they served students and their families in their second annual fundraiser.

Teacher Lindsay Hartung and School Secretary Carmina Martinez sang and danced around the restaurant encouraging students to purchase a delicious apple pie while teachers tended the front counter, served ice cream and presented food at the Drive-Thru.

The school families were treated to a beautiful concert by the Frost 5th grade choir. Lead by choir director Emily Hayden, the students sang songs and caught everyone's attention in the restaurant.

The proceeds from the 260 apple pies sold will be used to help purchase recess and playground equipment. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales were donated directly to the Frost PTO.

"This was our 2nd year in a row having a McTeacher's Night and it was twice as much fun. We look forward to next year! Thank you to David Bear and his staff for a great event." said Frost Principal Jeff Brusso.

David Bear, Owner-Operator of the Mount Prospect McDonald's and the Bear Family were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
