Brenda Robinson Joins Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP's Entertainment and Media Law Practice

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP welcomes Entertainment and Media Law lateral partner Brenda Robinson to the firm's Chicago office to lead its growing film practice and to expand its standing as the premier law firm for film and television production in Chicago.

Ms. Robinson's law practice focuses on intellectual property and entertainment matters for clients in the music, film, television and sports industries. Throughout her career, Ms. Robinson has provided legal counsel to recording artists, musicians and composers, actors, production companies, film financiers and private investors, authors, arts organizations, athletes and entertainers. Ms. Robinson also has acted as production counsel and executive producer for documentary and feature film projects, as well as scripted and unscripted television programming.

Ms. Robinson serves as outside counsel to Cinema/Chicago and the Chicago International Film Festival and also serves on its board of directors. She is an associate member of The Recording Academy and board member of the Grammy Music Education Coalition. She is also an investor member of the Sundance Institute and sits on the Women at Sundance Leadership Council. An active philanthropist in the Chicago arts and entertainment community, Ms. Robinson is a board member of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Lookingglass Theatre Company. She recently was appointed as a member of the Kennedy Center National Committee for the Performing Arts. Ms. Robinson received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a certificate in Business and Public Policy from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
