Local club to hold cough pillow workshop April 12

On Friday, April 12, Plato Center for Home and Community Education will meet for the annual cough pillow and walker bag workshop at 9 a.m. at the Plato Center Town Hall, 10N924 Rippberger Road. In 2018, 200 cough pillows and 30 walker bags were donated to St. Joseph Hospital.

Members bring their sewing machines and other members to stuff ears, pin, sew, turn and iron the pillows. There will be a continental breakfast and a pizza lunch. Call Joan at (847) 931-8120 to RSVP.

The business meeting will start at 1 p.m. The hostesses are Marcella Drendel, Bonnie Read and Arlene Reisner. The lesson for learning is "Communication Challenges and Strategies for Helping People with Dementia" by Muriel Covington.

Members of the community are welcome to meetings. Call Joan at (847) 931-8120 to attend.
