No one injured in Crystal Lake house fire

No one was injured in a house fire Friday night in Crystal Lake, authorities said.

The blaze was reported about 8:40 p.m. on the 200 block of West Woodstock Street. A neighbor noticed the fire and alerted the lone resident who was home, and the resident escaped safely.

The fire was under control by 10 p.m. The second floor, attic and roof of the house were badly damaged, and the house was left uninhabitable, officials said.

Damage was estimated at $125,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
