Pulice wins third term as Wood Dale mayor

Incumbent Nunzio Pulice cruised to an easy victory Tuesday to claim his third term as Wood Dale mayor.

With all precincts reporting, unofficial final vote totals showed Pulice with 1,636 votes and challenger Kenneth Johnson with 609.

Both candidates were familiar faces for Wood Dale voters. Pulice has served as mayor since 2011, when he unseated Johnson.

Pulice has said his mindset is to plan for the future and save money in the long run. The city has a balanced budget, he says, and has been able to build up reserves while maintaining a high level of services.
