The White Sox wrap up their first road trip of the season with a pair of games against the Indians. Cleveland has finished first in the AL Central for three straight seasons and is heavily favored to win the division again this year. The Sox were 5-14 vs. the Indians last season (1-8 at Progressive Field). Nova makes his Sox debut in the series opener. Acquired in an off-season trade from the Pirates, Nova was 9-9 with a 4.19 ERA for Pittsburgh last year. Known for his excellent command, the 32-year-old righty pitched 19 innings for the White Sox in the Cactus League and had no walks and 15 strikeouts. Cleveland lost two of three at Minnesota to open the season, scoring just 5 runs and striking out 39 times in the series.
