Lateral Partner Joins Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP's Medical Negligence and Healthcare Practice
Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP welcomes lateral partner William P. Greubel, III to the firm's Chicago office to focus on Medical Negligence and Healthcare.
Mr. Greubel represents physicians, medical groups, hospitals and other allied healthcare providers in a wide range of complex personal injury and wrongful death matters. A trial lawyer, he has taken more than 50 cases to verdict before juries in Cook, Will, DuPage and McHenry Counties. Mr. Greubel has also represented large-scale transportation interests in personal injury and wrongful death matters, as well as global insurers in complex environmental contamination and other mass tort coverage disputes.
Previously a partner at Nora & Partners, LLP in Chicago, Mr. Greubel received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 2007 and his B.A. from Purdue University in 2004.
In addition to Mr. Greubel, Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP also welcomes two lateral associates to the Chicago office. Dylan J. Rakestraw focuses on Toxic Tort Litigation and previously served as a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney. Mr. Rakestraw received his J.D. in 2016 from The John Marshall Law School and his B.A. in 2012 from the University of Illinois.
Abigail E. Schmitz focuses on Commercial Litigation and was previously Counsel at Burford Capital. She received her J.D. magna cum laude in 2014 from University of Illinois College of Law and her B.A./B.S. magna cum laude in 2011 from Indiana State University.
