Lavelle Law Founder to Speak at DePaul University College of Law Distinguished Alumni Event

Kerry Lavelle, founding partner of Lavelle Law in Schaumburg, will be the speaker at an upcoming DePaul University College of Law Distinguished Alumni lunch. In addition to founding a 31-attorney firm, Lavelle has published two books through the American Bar Association, is a featured speaker at conferences across the country, and launched Lavelle Consulting, a practice group that focuses on helping law firms improve their overall performance.

"I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to speak with some of the current students at DePaul," said Lavelle. "I had a wonderful experience there and I look forward to advising current students on how to reach their goals as I have."

Each year, the school hosts a series of lunches for students with the College of Law's most distinguished alumni. A small group of students will be able to enjoy lunch with an alumnus at the top of their field who will discuss their careers and share real-world advice.

Previous speakers have included Judge Thomas Durkin, John Corvino and Robert Clifford.

"I'm flattered to receive this invitation, and I thank the DePaul University College of Law for this opportunity," said Lavelle. "The school was very influential in shaping my career in law and I always welcome the opportunity to give back."

In 2018 the ABA published Lavelle's second book The Early Career Guide for Attorneys: Starting and Building a Successful Career in Law. The book is designed to assist law school students preparing to launch their careers as attorneys.

The luncheon will take place on April 17th and is open to all College of Law students on a first-come, first-serve basis. To learn more about Kerry Lavelle or the legal services of Lavelle Law, visit www.lavellelaw.com.
