Chicago officials call an end to "dibs" season

CHICAGO (AP) - A sign winter is over in Chicago is officials telling people to get rid of those chairs, tables and other stuff they've put in front of their homes to save parking spots after clearing snow.

Chicago's Department of Streets and Sanitation says anyone who doesn't want the city to throw away items they've used to reserve spaces for their automobiles better get rid of them.

And for those concerned that they'll move "dibs" items just to see it snow again, National Weather Service meteorologist Amy Seeley says they don't have to worry - at least for the next week.
