Swanson, Martin & Bell welcomes lateral partner to Entertainment and Media Law Practice Group

Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP announces the arrival of Entertainment and Media Law Partner Travis W. Life to the firm's Chicago office.

Life was formerly a partner at Leavens Strand & Glover LLC in Chicago. He represents artists and art-related businesses in drafting and negotiating entertainment agreements, managing intellectual property and litigating complex matters. He has formed a variety of multimedia entities, including music marketing companies, music management businesses and production companies. His clients include musicians and songwriters, actors, designers, authors and media companies in the music fields. Life also regularly represents clients in connection with complex music-related litigation.

Life is also active in the entertainment and legal communities. He is currently serving as an adjunct professor at DePaul University College of Law, a Governing Committee Member of the ABA Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries, a board member for Independent Film Producers Chicago, and an associate member of The Recording Academy. He received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa.
