Police searching for person who broke into saddle shop near Island Lake
Police are seeking information surrounding a burglary at a saddle shop near Island Lake overnight Thursday into Friday, authorities said.
Sgt. Chris Covelli of the Lake County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to Timmermann's Ranch And Saddle Shop on the 29000 block of Roberts Road at about 5 a.m. after an employee noticed someone had entered the building overnight.
Covelli said the offender forced entry into the shop through a window and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He said the saddle shop had cameras inside and recorded the offender.
He stands about 5-foot-10, weighs about 160 pounds, has facial hair and was wearing a hooded garment.
The burglary remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Lake County Sheriff Criminal Investigation Division at (847) 377-4250.
