Lakemoor man facing child porn charges

A Lakemoor man accused of having child pornography is facing charges, officials said.

Thomas Zurawski, 27, of the 500 block of Santa Barbara Road, was receiving nude images from a girl younger than 18, according to a news release from Lakemoor police. Authorities in Rochester, Minnesota, had learned about the correspondence from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and alerted Lakemoor police Feb. 7.

Zurawski was charged Feb. 15 with one count of soliciting child pornography videos and two counts of soliciting images; and additional charges are pending, the release said. He was taken to the McHenry County Jail, where is being held on $250,000 bond, the release said.
