Vernon Hills board to hear plan for new restaurants outside Hawthorn Mall

The Vernon Hills village board Tuesday will consider plans for two restaurants and other buildings outside Hawthorn Mall.

Representatives of Brookfield Properties on behalf of Macy's will present a concept plan to subdivide four outlots along Townline Road (Route 60) for two single-use restaurants and two multi-tenant buildings. A portion of Ring Road would need to be reconfigured to accommodate the plan.

he board will consider the concept at its informal committee-of-the-whole meeting following the regular meeting at 7 p.m. at village hall, 290 Evergreen Drive.
