Learn how to add yoga to your everyday life at local AAUW meeting

On Thursday, Feb. 7, the American Association of University Women Batavia-St. Charles-Geneva branch will learn more about yoga, which is widely practiced for stress relief, balance and flexibility.

The meeting will be held at a new location, the Batavia Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave. in (Route 31).

Have you heard about yoga but thought it's not for you? Found it too challenging or not challenging enough? Certified yoga instructor Irina Zlatogorova-Shulman will share scientific research clarifying common misconceptions about yoga. She will demonstrate how to incorporate yoga components like breath and movements in everyday life to achieve peace of mind, clarity and better concentration.

A member of AAUW, Zlatogorova-Shulman has been practicing yoga for 13 years. She teaches gentle Kundalini yoga classes and Guided Meditation at Abhyaasa Yoga studio in Naperville.

Networking begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7 p.m.
