Waconda FBLA students win awards at area conference

The FBLA Northern Area Conference was Saturday, Jan. 26, at Grayslake Central High School.

Wauconda FBLA came home with the following achievements and awards:

Eeshan Garr was elected as FBLA Northern Area President for 2019-20, Sonakshi Garr was elected as FBLA Northern Area Secretary for 2019-20.

Eight first-place awards:

• Banking & Financial Systems: Brett Winkel, Ethan Yost and Connor Brannick

• Community Service Project: Kelly Poyo, Karly Pikel and Estefany Garcia

• Introduction to Business Presentation: Lacey Coyne and Paul Balingit
