Former Grace Lutheran pastor writes second book

The Rev. Arne Walker, former pastor of Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake, Illinois, recently released his second book.

The title for his 2018 book is "A Trail Less Hiked." The book is dedicated to the encouragers in life and focuses on the power of having a sense of call. . His first book "Even I Will Learn to Dance" was about 58 years of retreat ministry with a focus on blending church and court-related youth in ministry primarily utilizing the resource of the out of doors.

Both books are a collection of true stories and pictures.

One hundred percent of both books support a particular ministry.

"Even I Will Learn to Dance" raised more than $10,000 to support AFFIRM, a youth spiritual enrichment program of the Lutheran Church.

So far, the newly released "A Trail Less Hiked" has raised more than $1,700 to support Isaac Taylor of Knoxville, Tennessee on the mission field in Australia as he ministers to aboriginal teens. Taylor was part of Pastor Walker's AFFIRM group a decade ago. The book is available from Pastor Walker at 467 Mountain Drive, Gatlinburg, TN 37738 for $15 plus $5 for shipping.
