Wants to know more about Schaumburg candidates

Is there any good reason why in article after article you continue to feel the need to use the adjective "longtime" before the word trustee when describing one of Schaumburg's mayoral candidates? I understand why you did this in Eric Peterson's first article on the topic in early August, but find myself wondering why the adjective continues to be used. I believe we'd all like to learn more about all three candidates other than whether or not they served with Mayor Larson.
