Day of Service expo Jan. 12 in Vernon Hills

A Day Of Service community expo to bring local organizations and the community together will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Sullivan Center, 635 N. Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills.

More than 35 nonprofits will be on hand to discuss their organizations, recruit volunteers and work on service projects. Organized by Tenth Dems, a grass-roots political organization that works within Illinois' 10th Congressional District, the event aims to promote community outreach and volunteerism.
