Winter wetland botany

Winter wetland botany workshops will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Dec. 1, at Volo Bog State Natural Area on Brandenburg, west of Route 12 in Ingleside. The workshop with naturalist Stacy Iwanicki starts indoors with a self-paced exploration of herbarium specimens followed by lunch and then a trek outside. The program is geared for serious botany students or others aged 11 and older just getting into plants.
