Meadows second in Turkey Thriller

Rolling Meadows' girls basketball team took second place at the Turkey Thriller on Wednesday night with a 59 54 overtime triumph over Cary-Grove.

The Mustangs went 4-1 in the tourney (only loss to champion Fremd) and now stand at 5-1 for the season.

"Alexa Davis and Lily Greifenstein made big plays for us down the stretch to pull out a hard-fought win over Cary Grove," said Mustangs coach Ryan Kirkorsky.

Davis and Greifenstein, each seniors, were name to the all-tournament first team while junior Susannah Holifield and freshman Moira Hickey earned honorable mention all-tourney.
