Palatine Park District Winter Program Registration Opens Nov. 26
In anticipation of the new year, Palatine Park District has released the 2019 winter program catalog to over 38,000 homes and on the District's website. Programs and events in the book include locations of ice rinks and sledding parks, information on the District's Job Fair on December 20, registration details for Frosty Family Fun, Date Night, Dog Park, and more. Winter registration opens for residents on Monday, November 26 at 8:30am. Non-resident registration will open on Tuesday, December 11 at 8:30am.
New this winter, registration for all aquatics, dance, and fitness programming offered by Palatine Park District at Health and Recreation Center on the Harper College campus will be processed through the Palatine Park District registration system. Registration for these programs will be available online for residents and non-residents beginning Monday, November 26 at hrc.palatineparks.org. To register in person, visit Birchwood Recreation Center, 435 W. Illinois Avenue in Palatine, Community Center, 250 E. Wood Street in Palatine, or Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 N. Hicks Road in Palatine. Registration can also be processed at Health and Recreation Center, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine, using a self-service kiosk in the facility's lobby.
Palatine Park District provides four ways to register: online, in person, by mail (checks only), and drop-off (checks only). Most programs are available for online registration at palatineparks.org. See page 104 of the winter program catalog for further details.
A household account is required to register for programs, memberships, and events online. Visit palatineparks.org and select "Create a Household" under the Register Online tab. By default, each new household will be created with a Resident status. Upon review, households that should have non-resident status will be corrected and patrons will be contacted regarding any additional non-resident fees that might be due. On Thursday, December 20, Palatine Park District will host a Job Fair at Community Center from 4:00pm-7:00pm that will highlight various year-round, part-time, and seasonal positions. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet supervisors and learn more about the many positions the Park District has to offer. Frosty Family Fun returns on Friday, January 18 at Birchwood Recreation Center for an evening of frozen and frosty fun activities inside. The event is designed for parents and children ages 3-10 and includes a variety of winter themed crafts and games for the whole family. See page 9 of the winter catalog for more details.
Dog Park registration for the 2019 season opens for residents on December 1 and for non-residents on January 2. Access is valid from January 2 through December 31, 2019 and may be purchased anytime throughout the year. Registered dogs are required to wear a District issued dog tag when in the park and dog handlers/owners must visibly wear their District issued lanyard. To complete a registration form, visit Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, Falcon Park Recreation Center, or download a registration from palatineparks.org. Forms must be processed in person.
Recreation Fun gift cards are now available for purchase in person at Birchwood Recreation Center, Community Center, Falcon Park Recreation, and Palatine Stables. Gift cards are redeemable for the purchase of programs, passes, or memberships. Palatine Hills Golf Course and Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center have separate gift card and certificate options available.
