At a village board meeting held Monday, Nov. 19, Lisle Mayor Chris Pecak proclaimed Nov. 24 as Small Business Saturday in the Village of Lisle.

"By choosing to support our local businesses, we can show our support for the growing vibrancy of the Lisle business community, as well as the larger community," Pecak said. "I encourage everyone to explore Lisle, and discover all the unique and hidden gems that Lisle's business community offers."

The Village of Lisle is encouraging individuals to support the local business community by shopping, dining and experiencing all that Lisle has to offer.

The Lisle community has a rich variety of locally owned and operated businesses, all of which can provide a gratifying, personalized and unique experience for customers and patrons. Spend a day perusing what is offered at retailers through the village, enjoy a satisfying meal, or take advantage of the many professional services that are offered!

Shopping in Lisle offers convenience, the ability to get to know local merchants, and it keeps sales tax dollars within the community. Lisle businesses contribute to the community in many ways, including youth sport team sponsorships, fundraisers for charity and providing other enriching events that make Lisle the unique community that it is. Supporting Lisle businesses also helps provide employment opportunities and generates local tax revenue to support emergency services, road maintenance, and other services.
