Training exercise Saturday in Schaumburg

The Schaumburg Police Department will conduct a search and rescue unit training exercise and mock missing person scenario near Boomers Stadium and Metra commuter parking lots Saturday.

The exercise will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., during which police will simulate a search for a missing subject.

Created in 2017, police department's search and rescue unit is composed of about 20 part-time auxiliary supervisors and officers, as well as full-time community service officers.
